Right triangle calculator, calculate the hypotenuse, legs and angles.
Calculator Usage
This right triangle calculator can only be used for triangles that have a 90-degree angle; it does not apply to oblique triangles.
The calculator can be used to find the hypotenuse of a triangle, its legs, or even the triangle's angles. The right triangle calculator is programmed using the Pythagorean theorem and trigonometric ratios.
Required Fields
As you can see in the calculator fields, each side and angle has a shared letter (a, b, and c), where a and b are used for legs and their opposite angles, and c is used exclusively for the hypotenuse (side) and the angle opposite to it.
For the calculator to yield a result, you must have at least the values of 2 sides or one side and one angle (an angle other than 90° because that field is fixed).
Problem 1: Calculate the hypotenuse of a right triangle with legs measuring 90 meters each.
Problem 2: Calculate the remaining leg of a right triangle, of which the hypotenuse measures 60 meters and one of the legs measures 40 meters.
Problem 3: What are the angles of a right triangle with a hypotenuse measuring 100 meters and one leg measuring half of the hypotenuse?
